Small Country Garden
This country garden benefits from a delightful water garden and seating area.
The house is an old red brick cottage and the garden has a cottage garden feel.
A patio using Yorkstone style paving was laid across the back of the house with spaces for planting to soften the house with plants
A path meanders down the garden to the water garden at the end. It is designed to draw the visitor into the garden to explore.
The planting incorporates evergreens to provide winter structure, with herbaceous cottage garden plants growing in between them
Graham produced the design for our garden, recommended some contractors and also oversaw the work our chosen contractor did. The design delivered everything from our brief and more. We asked for scent, minimal effort and maintenance and a purple and pink colour theme. The surprise in the first year as plants appeared and developed was great and we have spent many happy hours in our garden enjoying it and also doing some light gardening. We are looking forward to the first year of snowdrops in 2020. Graham has also been a helpful adviser for our amateur efforts in establishing our new gardening skills, always patient with helpful suggestions.
Graham's support throughout the brainstorm, design, construction and finishing has been superb. He has designed both my front and back garden and supported me over the course of 12 months with contractors, building, design changes/updates and of course the plants. After it was finished I had a few ideas about changes and he supported everything. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Graham has designed, and supported our garden activities for over 20 years, and with great success. His skill is obvious, and his readiness to respond and help in the ongoing modifications and maintenance are noteworthy. We can recommend him without reservations.
