Biddenham Small Estate garden
This garden had a slope and needed to be catered for as well as the overlooking windows beyond the boundary. The creation of the seating areas, one near the house and the other in the lower sunny area, were the solution. The addition of the oak beam and 2 silver birch trees screen the windows and create privacy for the lower patio.

Before design work implementation the ground is prepared for construction

This structure, I call a ‘beam’, is a good way of breaking up a view. Here it is creating some privacy for the new seating area. It 1, will be covered in wisteria in time and 2, be as spectacular as it is practical.
